The Middle School at St Patrick鈥檚 College encompasses Years 7 to 9 and operates within our Academic Care framework that identifies and develops strategies and experiences in order to create a cycle of enhanced learning and psychosocial development for students. Right relationships, together with a quality curriculum promote student learning, wellbeing and resilience through pedagogies aligned to student needs.
At St Patrick鈥檚 College, Integrated Studies appears across Years 7 and 8 . The purpose of Integrated Studies at St Patrick's College for Girls, Campbelltown is to develop and implement relationships and links between these subjects so that meaningful learning can be achieved. At the same time, integrated studies provides avenues for the development of 21st Century learning skills through a differentiated curriculum.
Integrated Studies appear as units of work that draw on learning outcomes from two or more ley learning areas. These units of work are collaboratively planned by subject teachers, and learning experiences can include collaborative and group work, project based and problem based learning.
Year 9 marks the beginning of the Stage 5 curriculum that builds upon the knowledge and skills developed in Stage 4. The curriculum has a mandatory core component that includes Religious Studies, English, Mathematics, Science, History, Geography and Physical Development, Health and Physical Education (PD/H/PE). In addition, students select from a broad range of elective subjects.
Evidence of student learning is gathered through both ongoing informal and formal assessment programs. The Assessment Policy and Procedures Handbook and access to an electronic Assessment Calendar supports effective time management and educational growth.

St Patrick鈥檚 College BYOD program is part of a broader initiative aimed at providing active, engaging and contemporary 21st Century learning environments. The Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) program enables the use of mobile technologies, anytime, anywhere in order to support student-centred teaching and learning. Families of students in Years 7, 8 and 9 are asked to provide a laptop as standard school equipment.
